The city of Temecula was incorporated in the year 1989 on December 1. It is located in Riverside County in the southwestern region.
The Temecula Valley United School District has under its scope schools from Temecula, Murrieta and Winchester. Considering the region it covers (almost 148 sq. miles), it is one of the most densely populated school districts in California.
What Are The School Boundaries?
The TVUSD boundaries extend up to the French Valley in the north, the Riverside county line in the south, Vail Lake to the east and Temecula City limits to the west.
Under the leadership of its current Superintendent Timothy Ritter, Temecula Valley Unified School District works at its mission of ensuring high quality of leaning by engaging all of its students, staff and the community. This of course, works towards literate and more responsible citizens of the future.

It's All About The Students
Temecula Valley Unified School District has a number of programs that are targeted at the well being of students.
These are in as diverse areas as language development as well as anti-drug and alcohol campaigns in schools.
Special attention is given to the training of staff across schools and as well regular orientation programs are conducted. There are also courses that apprise teachers of new teaching methodologies.
