Since Thornton Winery was opened in 1988, it has upheld a standing tradition of producing truly unique wines and sparkling wine done in the traditional méthode champenoise style. These are flavorful varieties achieved by experimenting with cluster pressing, barrel aging and blending techniques.
Thornton’s winemaker takes creativity to a new level by trying different vinification methods.

It's 2005 Sangiovese Rose won gold at the Vineyard & Winery Management Grand Harvest Awards. The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve won Gold at the Tasters Guild International. Thornton Winery is always earning recognition for its remarkable wines.

If you are not hosting an event but simply want to experience Thornton for a morning or an afternoon, public winery tours are free of charge on select weekend hours. You can also participate in wine and champagne tasting in the Thornton tasting room, a welcoming place with sit-down service.
