Temecula Hot Air Balloon
A Little Insight On Temecula Hot Air Balloons
Some people wake up early to watch some of the Temecula hot air balloons rise in their own backyards.
Everyone knows that hot air balloons are magical. This does not mean the gondola is held up by invisible fairies or that it is powered by leprechauns, just that they grip the imagination more than other form of flight till space ships.
Even there you must admit that space ships are not very romantic nor do they fly with the same timeless grace that balloons have.
If you really enjoy watching hot air balloons, you should try a Temecula hot air balloon in June at the annual Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival.
Who Invented The Hot Air Balloon Ride?
If you stop to think about it, you will find it fascinating that this romantic form of flight is so old, so efficient and so simple. You might have never invented the hot air balloon but now that someone did (quite sometime ago) you can look at it and think, ”Yea, that would work.” Hot air is lighter than cool air so warmer air will rise. In fact, you can put it in a big bag and you will float. The real genius is the person that figured out it is best if just watched from safely on the ground while sipping wine. That person might just have been from the Temecula Valley. (who knows?)
For the record; The hot air balloon was invented in 1783 by Joseph Michel Montgolfier of France.

The Annual Temecula Balloon And Wine Festival
Like any great festival, they save the best for last at Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival.
For almost any other festival, fireworks cap off a perfect evening. But here at the festival, that would not be such a great idea. Big balloons and tanks of natural gas do not mix well with fireworks.
Besides, they had a better idea and it is more in keeping with theme. The do what is known as a “balloon glow”. Tethered to the ground, they light the burners at dusk and that fills the balloons with light, making them glow like Chinese lanterns. It’s a great way to end a day of balloon watching in Temecula California.
