What is the Temecula Hot Air Balloon Festival?
 If you happen to be in Temecula in the summer of 2010, don’t miss the three-day long Balloon and Wine Festival.
This popular local event of the Wine Country is held every year at the Lake Skinner Recreation Area.
This is the 27th year of the festival. This year the annual Balloon and Wine Festival will be held from June 4th to 6th.
Food And Wine Pairing
One of the main attractions of the event is Food and Wine Pairing. If you want to learn the intricacies of pairing foods and wines, then this event will not disappoint.
Participants are served a four-course culinary spread.Complimentary wines are served with each course. The food court in the festival ground offers Mexican, Chinese, Greek and Italian dishes.
What Is A Balloon Glow?
 As soon as the sun sets, everyone gathers to watch the most colorful part of the festival – Balloon Glow. Several balloonists compete with each other to display illuminated balloons.
The dark sky lights up with dozens of glowing balloons. Depending upon the weather condition, the Balloon Glow event usually begins after 9.00pm.
Hot air balloon rides are another attraction of the festival that is hard to miss. A one-hour balloon flight on Saturday and Sunday costs about $200 per person. The scenic flight over the Wine Country will remain in your memory for your lifetime. Expert pilots and crews ensure the safety of the balloon flight.
A Kids Note...
Children can have a whale of a time at the Kidz Fair, which is for kids below 14 years of age. A petting zoo, rides, inflatable toys and more will be available. While entry is free, there is a nominal charge for the activities. The Temecula Valley Wine and Balloon Festival promises to be an event you will regret missing.

Visitors can buy daily or combo tickets. The prices of the tickets are adults $25.00, kids 7-12 are $5.00 and kids under 7 are free. Special discounts are available for military personnel. Pets are not allowed to enter the festival area.
