What Is The City Hall?
So what exactly is the City Hall?
The most basic answer is, that this is the home of your local and city government.
What you normally find in city hall is the Mayor, City Council, and the various other branches of your local government.
Sometimes the Police Department is located in City Hall. However, Temecula had decided not to put its Police Departments in City Hall. Instead, Temecula decided to make two separate locations entirely. (Check out this link for more information on the Temecula Police Department).
Regular Meetings At City Hall
On regular basis meetings take place at Temecula City Hall to help the city to continue to grow and run smoothly. Many of these meetings are open to the general public to attend. Here is a list of the meetings available:  City Council Agenda:
- Meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the Month at 7 PM
- Community Services Commission: Meets every 2nd Monday at 6 PM
- Planning Commission Meets Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday at 6 PM
- Public/Traffic Safety Commission: Meets every 4th Thursday at 6 PM
- Planning Director Hearings: Meets Thursdays at 1:30 PM
- Old Town Local Review Board: Meets 2nd Monday at 9 AM
But there are more departments that are run through City Hall. Some of these affect your daily life, while others are only used on a case-by-case basis. Depending on your needs you may have regular contact with City Hall, or you may only visit once in your life.
Direct Phone Numbers To Your City Government
 For example if you need a building permit, you would need to be in contact with Building & Safety. They are also the department you would report unsafe structures to as well. Their direct number is (951) 694-6439.
Water Quality issues, Land Development and Traffic Lights are handled by the Public Works Department at City Hall. Any problems with these issues and several others you would need to contact them. Their direct number is (951) 694-6411.
If you need access to public information, access to city records or want to review the Legislative History of the city you would need to contact the City Clerk’s office. They handle additional items as well. Their direct line is (951) 694-6444.
The City Hall plays a big part in the day-to-day functions of its city.
