There seems to be a little secret about our annul
Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival
that gets out to more and more people each year.
Are you and the family going to be spending any time in Southern California in June this year. If the answer is "YES", there is great news for the whole family.
Despite what your children will tell you, there is more to Southern California than just the theme parks; there is wine country to see as well.
The biggest problem has always been about the kids; what will they do while you are trying local wines?
The answer is here at the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival. Here you will find something for all ages.
We’re In Our 29th Year!
The Balloon and Wine Festival is enjoying its 27th year and continues to grow each year.
For the adults there will be tastings of local and regional wines. For an even greater experience you might opt to make reservations at the food and wine pairings.
That will be a 3-course meal; each prepared and paired by a different local chef as balloons float in the sky above. Watching the balloons is fun for everybody.
There Is Kid’s Stuff Too
If you will be traveling with kids there is no need to worry about them getting bored: the Kid's Faire is just for them.
There will be rides, inflatables, and a climbing wall. If that is not enough, they can also enjoy face paintings and they will not let you leave without stopping by the petting zoo (admit it, that part is fun for the adults too).
Don't let them get too tired though; there are still bands like the Gin Blossoms and Spyro Gyra before the big ending.
All Good Things Must End
Most festivals conclude the day with a big fireworks show, but around a lot of balloons and fuel tanks that would not be such a great idea.
Instead, they do something even more awe-inspiring and that is the balloon glow at dark.
Just try to imagine the scene.
You have the rolling hills of Southern California wine country at dusk with the landscape peppered with balloons, tethered to the ground, burning fuel to fill them up like glowing lanterns. It paints a lasting memory.
Don’t Forget To Take Home Some Memories
Before you go, there is just one more thing you must do and that is get your souvenirs. Each year the hosting committee picks one piece of graphic art to represent that year. You can get it on a poster, a tee shirt or one of the many articles they sell to raise money for local charities. See one from a past year you like? They have quite an amazing set of shirts and posters that go back over 10 years. They will make a great way to remember your visit to the Temecula Balloon and Wine Festival.
